Stan has been making this marinade recipe for 20 years. Every one who has tried it ends up loving it. It is a wonderful marinade for chicken before grilling. We put it on any kind of meat and today, mushrooms and onions.
For a large batch you will need: (recipe can be halved for smaller portion)
1/2 bottle of Worcestershire
2 cloves of garlic minced or 1 teaspoon of pre-minced garlic
the juice of one lemon or a couple of splashes of bottled juice
1 stick of butter
Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan, bring to a slow boil. Pour over your meat choice and marinate for at least 30 minutes. Longer time is always better for a richer flavor.
If you are using it on mushrooms or veggies, we add the items directly to the sauce and simmer until tender. You can also marinate the veggies on skewers and then grill.
The marinade is a wonderful tenderizer with a delicious flavor. Enjoy!
Mushroom and onions simmering and almost ready to top our grilled burgers.
